Album of The Year & New Music

The 48th annual Country Music Awards aired on the ABC network last night. Similar to the Oscars and the Grammys, the winners are chosen by industry professionals all around the world, including peers. It is one of the longest running music awards show’s on television. Last night, Miranda Lambert made Country music history by becoming the “most decorated female artist in the history of the CMA awards” according to ABC.com. Ms. Lambert’s “Platinum” LP was awarded Album of The Year. Single Of The Year was also given to her for her track from the LP entitled “Automatic”  The artist also took home the Female Vocalist of The Year award for the fifth consecutive time. That breaks the records of Reba McEntire and Martina McBride who have each been given that particular prize four times. There are some rumors that she may already be a Grammy favorite for early 2015. “Platinum” is available on Freegal.

In addition to award-winning songs, there is also brand new music to listen to on Freegal.
